Lucile Warren Obituary
Obituary
Lucile Phillips Warren, daughter of Thomas Henley Phillips, III, an early land developer in Lee County, passed away Monday, April 26, at Hill Top Center in Lake Bluff, IL. She was a Christian Science Practitioner for 40 years. Besides being active in church, she loved books, knitting, gardening, hurricane tracking and sailing with her husband, Russell, who passed on in Cape Coral in 1972. She loved music from Bach to Ragtime, opera to Elvis. She also loved everything that 'creeps or crawls." She had moved to Madison with her daughter and son-in-law, Janeve and David Whalley, in 1988.
She is also survived by her son, Russell Phillips Warren of Port Charlotte, FL and granddaughter, Shane Whalley and her partner, Denise Moore of Austin, TX.
She left written instructions that there be no services, but memorials to her may be made by gifts to Hill Top Center, 502 N. Waukegan Road, Lake Bluff, IL 60044, or First Church of Christ, Scientist, Fort Myers.
