My prayers and sincerest sympathy wing their way to Patricia's family. She was a wonderful professional friend and colleague. We worked closely together on several events and committees for the Society for Scholarly Publishing. She will be remembered fondly and with great respect by the many of us who had the privilege to know her.

Hearing about Patricia’s passing brought back a lot of memories. I worked in her department at the Univ. of Chicago Press, and was amazed by the many talents she brought to her work. I recall her consistent cheerfulness and good humor, always an asset in the workplace. Patricia kept her office door open to all—in my memory I can still hear her happy laughter and see that bright smile. She was an avid reader, and shared her love of books with me often. Patricia was warm and personable, and those close to her knew how much she loved her family, and how proud she was of her nephews and niece. All those whose lives she touched will miss her.

I am very sorry to hear about Patricia's death. I send my sympathy to her family and friends.
Patricia hosted a fun, delicious party at her home in Chicago for us coworkers in the Journals Division at the Press. She was indeed a terrific hostess and a very fun person!

Patricia was always such a good colleague when we all worked together at the Univ. of Chicago Press, and I will always hold onto a number of strong memories.
Some involve this. Though she and I never actually worked together in any real sense of the word just as in any workplace situation there often came times when we both would have to attend one of those “professional-social” events that evolve as part of one’s unofficial job duties. Somehow early on I came to know of her interest in and obvious love for football. And did she ever know about football! Isn’t it fair to say that she was nothing if not a chip-off-the-old-block? Anyway before letting what might ordinarily turn into yet another boring and deadly cocktail hour I found I could search out Patricia to talk to. In this way the ordinary was turned into something else. She was always such fun and could really make the time fly by.
Let me send my deepest condolences to all of her remaining family today. I know that she will be greatly missed by you all but I hope you have many memories of happy times just as I have.

Dear Uncle Mo and family, We had the pleasure of getting to know Trisha when we lived in South Bend.
She invited us to her home, fed us, entertained us, introduced us to Chicago style pizza, drove us to museums so we would not get lost, telephoned to say hello, how are you doing. She was gracious, kind, funny and smart. So easy to talk to, we always enjoyed her company.
May the wonderful memories of all the lives she touched help you through this most difficult time.
We are thinking of you and sending our love.

I was both shocked and saddened to hear about Patricia's passing. I am a former employee of her's at the University of Chicago Press. We had so much fun together laughing and talking about skating, politics, and whatever else was going on in the world. Patricia made the best chicken salad on the planet. I think what I loved best about Patricia was that she was very smart but was so down to earth. She never made anyone feel self-conscious about their lack of education. I also loved her sense of humor. We would laugh so hard we would cry. I know Patricia loved her family very, very much. I will miss her so much. I am keeping all of you in my prayers.

Maggy,
Listening to all of your stories about Trish were good ones, especially her love of football.
