Eura Elliott Obituary
Eura Graham Elliott, 85, of 28 Saw Mill Road, Concord, passed Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2007, at Guggenheimer Nursing Home.
Eura, one of twin daughters, was born on Dec. 14, 1921, to the late Tom Graham and Lula Harvey Graham. Eura was the wife of the late Willie Morris Elliott. Eura was a member of Pilot Mountain Baptist Church for many years.
She was preceded in death by one son, Stewart G. Elliott; three sisters, Arlean Cardwell, Gracie Jones and Annie Cox; and one brother, James Graham.
Those left to cherish her memories are four sons, Willie T. (Gwendolyn) Elliott, Robert M. (Vera) Elliott, both of St. Petersburg, Fla., Roger L. Elliott of Concord, and Perly A. (Christine) Elliott of Madison Heights; one daughter, Dorothy E. (Rev. Sidney) Dove of Lynchburg; twin sister, Eunice Jones of Lynchburg; one daughter-in-law, Joyce Elliott of Concord; one sister-in-law, Esther Garland of Lynchburg; one brother-in-law, Rev. Dr. Curtis L. Elliott, of Spout Springs; 18 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007, at Pilot Mountain Baptist Church with Dr. L.E. Hankins officiating and Dr. William R. Venable as eulogist. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the home of Dorothy Dove, 1411 Crews Shop Road, Lynchburg, and other times at the residence.
