Floyd Lee Stanley

February 26, 1947 - May 25, 2025

Floyd Lee Stanley, 78, of Madison Heights, husband of Sandra Stanley, passed away peacefully at the Salem VA Medical Center in Salem, VA, on Sunday, May 25, 2025.

He was born on February 26, 1947, in Lynchburg, son of the late Mamie Becque and Clinton Stanley.

Floyd served in the U. S. Army and was self-employed in construction.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Dawn Smith, and his son-in-law, Jeff DeMent.

Floyd is survived by his wife of 59 years, Sandra; his daughters, Tammy DeMent of Madison Heights, and Lorrie Wilson (John) of Bedford; grandchildren, Jordan DeMent, Kayla Smith (Christopher), Cody Holliday, Landon Holliday (Sierra), Shianne Mullins (Frankie), and Hunter Wilson (Edrieanna); great grandchildren, Aiden DeMent, Conner Holliday, Maxie Smith, Daisy Holliday, Easton Mullins, Autumn Mullins, and Isla Wilson.

The family would like to thank the care team of the VA Salem Healthcare System for the care they gave Floyd during his final days.

Per Floyd's wishes, there will be no service.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making memorial contributions to Thomas Road Baptist Church, Lynchburg, VA; or the VA Salem Healthcare System, Attn: Jade Fillinger, 1970 Roanoke Blvd., Salem, VA 24153.
