John Kevin Gilhooly

Gilhooly - John Kevin of Lynbrook, NY, on Thursday, October 21, 2021, loving husband and father, passed away. Born on November 14, 1947, in New York to John and Anne (Theis) Gilhooly. John started his career as a teacher, but later became a C.P.A. He married Jane (McElroy) and recently celebrated fifty years together. John loved reading and was particularly fond of history. He was a lifelong NY Yankee baseball fan. While he enjoyed traveling, he was happiest at home with his family. He was known for his keen intellect, quick wit, and his sly sense of humor. John is survived by wife, Jane; daughters, Meghan Sweeney, Kathleen Gilhooly, and Erin Gilhooly-Graham; grandchildren, James and Molly Graham; and siblings, Joan Bedell, Joseph Gilhooly, Patty Kirk, and Peggy Gilhooly. Reposing at Macken Mortuary in Rockville Centre with Tuesday, October 26, 4-8pm. Funeral Mass Wednesday, October 27, at 9:45 am, St. Agnes Cathedral.
