Margaret Mary Frary

FRARY - Margaret Mary (Peggy) survived by husband Francis (Frank) of 62 years. Daughter of the late James and Mary O'Kelly of Lietrim, Ireland. Mother of Brian, Neil, Timothy and Barbara Frary, Deirdre Cavanaugh and the late Maripat Testa. Grandmother to Lauren and Lisa Testa, Brittany, Megan, Jeannine, Briana, Joseph and Katie Frary. Loving aunt to twenty-one nieces and nephews. Educated at St. Theresa Elementary School in Woodside and graduated Cathedral HS in Manhattan. Enlisted in the US Marine Corps during World War II. After the war she graduated from Fordham University. She worked at the law firms Penny Edmonds and Jackson Nash. Peggy worked at The Christopher's until the birth of her first child. She was active in Holy Child Jesus Church as a girl scout leader, confraternity teacher, Rosarian and usher. Selected as president of the PTA at JHS 210 and elected four times to the Community School Board 27 and served as president of the Richmond Hill Development Corporation. She also served as Lector at Our Lady of Snows. Friends and family may call on Wednesday and Thursday 2-5PM and 7-9:30PM at Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Home 125 Hillside Ave New Hyde Park, NY.
