Jimmie Cannon Obituary
Although small, she had a big heart filled with love for others, always putting their needs before her own. She loved fishing, playing scrabble, working crosswords, gardening, and cooking. One of her greatest yearly pleasures was making fig and pear preserves which were enjoyed by many. She dearly loved Tinkerbelle, her little chihuahua and faithful companion.
She was preceded in death by her son, Mark DeVon Floyd; her two brothers, Willie "Coonie" Cannon and Emmett Cannon; her two sisters, Sue Dell Price and Pauline Cannon. Survivors include her daughter, Sonia Osawa of Red Bay, Fla; her two grandsons, Satya Osawa of Panama City Beach, Fla., and Matthew Brown of Michigan; and her granddaughter, Tabitha Osawa of Panama City, Fla., and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2011. at Southerland Family Funeral
Home with Rev. Rodney Infinger and Virgil Tillman officiating.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2011, from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m. The family wishes to express heartfelt love and gratitude to her niece, Kathy Johnson, who was the ministering angel in her final days. Condolences may be submitted or viewed at www.southerland.com.
