John Stone Obituary

John E. Stone, 92, of Marietta, Ga., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2008, at a Marietta assisted living home.

John is survived by one son, Alan Stone of Panama City, Fla.; one daughter, Diane Clark of Marietta, Ga.; three grandchildren, Allison Hunter, Teresa Stone and Chris Clark; and five great-grandchildren, Ashley Hunter, Forest Bushstone, Sage Bushstone, Abigail Clark and Coleman Clark. He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Edith Stone.

Before moving to Marietta, Ga., last year, John was a resident of Panama City, Fla., for eight years. He spent most of his life in Paris, Mo., where he farmed. He was a longtime member of Paris Presbyterian Church and served as an elder.

Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home will conduct a graveside service at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Garden of Peace, in Panama City. Pastor J. Reid Cameron and Pastor Ric Connor Sr. will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Paris Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 214, Paris, MO 65275.
