Loretha Jones Obituary

Loretha Jones was born Aug. 7, 1955, in Overstreet, Fla.
The Lord called for Loretha on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008, at Bay Medical Center in Panama City, Fla. She will be greatly missed. Gone, but never forgotten.

She was a graduate of Port St. Joe High School. While living in Port St. Joe, Fla., she was a faithful member of First Born Church of a Living God. Later, she relocated to Panama City, where she became a certified nurse.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Jones Filmore; father; Sherman Welch; stepfather, William Filmore; and sister, Connie Jean Robinson. She leaves to cherish her memories four loving children, Sabrina Jones Landry (Levell), Tasha Denise Jones Green (Charles), Kendrick Jones (Ashley) and April Tones (Cagney); two goddaughters, Shon Graham and Tameeco Morgan; four grandchildren, Arri Ravell Collins, Ky'Asia Kamirra Dijon Causey, Reyniah Laquone Marshall and Cagney Aaron Benson Jr.; devoted sisters and brothers, Angela Spraulding (Ken), Jerry Filmore (Pat), William Filmore and Drucilla Filmore; a special devoted friend, Carolyn Dixon; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services for Loretha Jones will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, 2008, at Potters Temple First Born Church of a Living God with Pastor C.A. Hutchinson officiating. Interment will follow in Redwood Cemetery. Public visitation will begin from 1-8 p.m. today, Dec. 12, 2008, at the funeral home.
