Katharina Schroers Obituary
Greenville - Katharina Johanna Schroers, 89, of Greenville passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the Shenandoah Hospice House.
Born May 12, 1929 in Germany she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Maria Bongardt.
Kathe enjoyed spending time with her family, painting, knitting, crocheting, word puzzles and reading.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Karl Schroers; and two daughters-in-law, Linda Schroers and Susan Schroers.
Survivors include her children, Karl Schroers of Greenville, Joseph Schroers of Staunton, Eleanor Werner and husband, Stan of Waynesboro and Michael Schroers and fiancée, Tina Burke of Goshen; grandchildren, Melissa Schroers, David Schroers, Melanie Eye and husband, Dallas, Tim Fisher, Nicole Schroers and fiancé, Brad Warren, Joseph Schroers, Nicholas Schroers and Kristina Schroers; and one great granddaughter, Fiona Eye.
Following her wishes, she will be cremated and there will be no formal services.

We did a flooring job for them many years ago. She gave me 3 beautiful paintings she had done & I think of her every time I look at them. She was a very kind & giving person & she will always live on with the cherished paintings she did that mean so much to me. My condolences to her family.

She was a great lady. Loved her potato salad. I only met her a few times. I loved to hear her talk!!! She will be missed by many. Rest In Peace Opa..
