Grace Garvin

Grace Garvin, 93, of Arnold, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2014. Born Jan. 10, 1921, in Arnold, she was the daughter of the late Mohamed and Fatima Keleel; and sister of the late Anna Hull, Abdul Mohamed, Sharriff Mohamed, Mustafa Mohamed, Carl Mohamed, Jessie Saye, Goldie Long and Shirley Smith. Grace is survived by her sisters, Miriam Ackerman and Minnie Athey. A lifelong resident of Arnold, Grace attended the Presbyterian Church and enjoyed baking and traveling. She was the mother of Gloria (David) Miller, of Ravenna, Ohio, Larry (Debra) Garvin, of State College, and James (Doris) Garvin, of New Albany, Miss.; grandmother of Julie (Lane) Cavender, Larry (Jennifer) Garvin, James (Crystal) Garvin, Janine Miller, Michael Miller, Nicholas Miller and Victoria Miller; great-grandmother of six; and loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Sugar Creek Rest Home for all their loving care. As per Grace's wishes, all arrangements were private.
