John Alvah Harris, Jr., 61, of Roxboro, NC died Saturday, March 11, 2017. He was born in Person County to the late John Alva Harris, Sr. and Anne Whitt Harris, who survives. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his best friend, Bobby Dickerson, his father in law, Reece Harry, and his mother in law, Pattie Roy Harry.

Surviving are his wife of 32 years, Linda Price Harris, of the home, one

son, John Price and wife, Meredith, of Roxboro; two brothers, Mark Harris and wife, Rhonda, of Roxboro, David Harris and wife, Jane, of Monck's Corner, SC; one sister, Whitney Day and husband, Wendell, of Wake Forest; one granddaughter, Ellie Reece Harris and many good friends.

Mr. Harris was a graduate of North Carolina State University with a

Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry. He also obtained his Master's of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He was employed by Airgas National Welders for 33 years, where he served as Vice President of Operations.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, March 14th, 2017 at Providence Baptist Church in Roxboro, NC with the Rev. Hal Dickerson officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service and other times at the home of John Price and Meredith Harris.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mr Harris's nephews.
