John Walston Obituary
A funeral service willbe held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 11, 2005 at the First Baptist Church of Scotland Neck. Interment will follow at the Baptist Cemetery. The Reverend Doctor James Drake will be presiding.
John Henry was a life long member of the First Baptist Church of Scotland Neck and was the owner and operator of the Pecan Grove Motel in Scotland Neck for many years.
John Henry is survived by his wife, Carrie P. Walston; son, John L. "Johnny" Walston and wife Phyllis of Emporia, VA; sister, Geneva Hyman of Oak City; brother, Marion Walston of Scotland Neck; two grandchildren, J. Lee Walston, Jr. of Durham and Jim Walston of Littleton; and two great-grandchildren, Temple Walston and Emerson Walston.
The family received friends from 7:00to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2005 at Letchworth Funeral Home in Scotland Neck.
Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Scotland Neck, 1015 Church Street, Scotland Neck, NC 27874.
Arrangements are being handled by Letchworth Funeral Home in Scotland Neck.
