I worked with her at Collier Cobb and she was one of the sweetest people I've ever known. I'll never forget what a great lady she was.

Lena was a blessing to all the lives that she touched while on earth. We think of her as truly angelic. She blessed the members of the Dubose Center, The Cedars, her neighbors in Greenwood, Collier Cobb and Associates, United Church of Chapel Hill, UNC Ram's Club, among others, and most of all, her family.
I remember years ago I was visiting a patient at UNC Memorial Hospital. And who should I see but little Lena Cherry pushing a friend in a wheelchair -- even though Lena was more than 80 years old!
Lena was an angel who decided to shed her wings and visit the earth as a human.
