Brandi and Emma,
I know what a great husband and Daddy you had. Pace was a friend I will remember forever. He knew laughter was the best medicine for anything. I remember, most notably, his presentation on the plyage of toilet paper in debate class!
I look forward to seeing him again in heaven someday.
My prayers are with you.

Dear Ms. Harris,

I am so very sorry to hear this tragic news. I, too, have such wonderful memories of Pace throughout my years at Ascension and ESA. In fact, Pace was the object of my unrequited crush in the seventh grade. I was overjoyed when he said yes to my invitation to a Sadie Hawkins dance. Being so much taller than I and a perfect gentleman, he let me stand on his feet to dance during slow songs!

I will be praying for you and all who are grieving this terrible loss.

In Christ,

Dear Brandi, Emma, Locke, & Ms. Jane,

It it hard to put into words just how I felt about Pace. He was just like one of my own.I will miss his handsome smiling face, how he always showed me new pictures of Emma, and was so very proud of her. How he talked about all his family with such love and joy. Ms. Jane it was nice getting to meet you, he spoke so loving of you.Pace will be forever in my heart. God Bless you all and please let me know if I can assist in anyway.

Dear Locke,

I am heartbroken to hear of Pace's passing and wish there were words or something I could do to ease your pain. I haven't seen Pace in probably twenty-five years or more but remember what a handsome and sweet child he was. Sounds like he grew up to be just like his father! "Butterball" and I really enjoyed the time we were able to spend with him and David as kids and thank you for sharing him with us. My prayers are with you and your family now and always.

October 27, 2010

Dear Jane Ann, Brandi, Emma Jane, Yeager and Harris Families,

Knowing that your hearts are broken and you are struggling with the grief and the inability to make sense of such a tragedy makes our hearts heavy, indeed. It is obvious that Pace made a huge impact in so many lives. Please accept our deepest sympathies and know that we will continue to lift you up in prayer, asking for you to be comforted by loving arms and by the memories of one loved so well. And that, in time, you will know a deep inner peace and have hope in your lives again...feeling with certainty that this is just a brief separation.

God be with you, Leslie (Ponthie) and Charlie Gorman and Children

I have not seen Pace in years but for a year or so of my life we were very close friends. We were friends at Louisiana Tech for the year he was there. Just last week I thought about Pace and wondered where he was living at now. I actually tried to find him via the internet but couldn't locate him. I am very sorry for your loss and my thoughts and prayers are with each one of you during this very difficult time.

Jane and Locke:

Words cannot express my sadness upon hearing this news. My greatest and fondest memories of childhood always include Pace. He was my best friend starting at Sicily Day Care. I still remember running and crying at the fence when my mom left me and Pace came over to play with me. We learned to ride bikes together and I remember when Pace got a dirt bike and I was still riding my little blue bike, I was so jealous and then we discovered my dirt bike in the garage one day (it was to be a surprise for my birthday) and that was a very happy day. We rode the bike to a gas station to fill up the tires and didn't know what we were doing, so we over filled it and on the way back, both tires popped from having too much air! Myrtle Place neighborhood was our playground and it was the best playground, ever! The reenactments of WWII with green army men at your house in our mind was as big and important as the real thing. The coulee was always a place to discover great things and probably some items we shouldn't have discovered too. No video games needed!!

Our oldest, Jack, is the same age as we were and as I walking Jack to the bus stop this morning I got the news and I told him that my best friend at his age went to be in Heaven this week. He told me, "that is very sad, Dad and I'm so sorry. Let's pray for his family," so this morning, Jack and I at the bus stop prayed for you, Brandi, and Emma Jane. If Brandi ever wants to hear stories to share with Emma Jane, please tell her to call or email me. 678.206.6362 or [email protected]

With deepest sympathies,

Cullen

I can still see that precious BLOND ..with the Buster Brown haircut waltzing into my 2nd grade classroom. Pace was always so athletic and loved by all his peers. He was the tallest but most gentle kind-hearted boy in our class. Everyone wanted to be Pace's friend. He was loved by all!
May the wonderful memories sustain you during this difficult time.
