Alan Gereg Obituary

Alan P. Gereg, Jr.
1959 - 2023
Alan "Packie" Gereg, Jr. 63, of New Milford passed away at home after a brief illness on Thursday February 9, 2023. Alan was born in Danbury, raised in Brookfield and lived in New Milford for the past forty plus years. Alan graduated from Immaculate High School class of 1977 and went on to attend the University of Bridgeport, where he very quickly realized he wanted to start his own business. Alan started Al's Steam Cleaning which he operated throughout Fairfield and Litchfield counties until his death.
Alan is survived by his sister, Brenda Gereg Aurelia and her partner, Bob Willis, his nephews Michael (Kaila) and Dan Aurelia, and his great nephews, James and Danny Aurelia all of Newtown. He is also survived by his uncle William Martin Jr. and his cousin Colleen (Carlos) Martins, all of Brookfield, as well as several other cousins, nieces and nephews.
Alan was predeceased by his father, Alan P. Gereg and his mother, Theresa (Martin) Gereg as well as his youngest sister, Melissa M. Gereg.
Alan loved nothing more than to work on anything mechanical his entire life and loved to race cars and trucks as well as assisting others in the sport of racing. Over the years, Alan enjoyed the company of many close friends and acquaintances who, along with his family, will miss him dearly.
Services are being held privately by the family. There are no calling hours.
Contributions in Alan's name may be made to the New Milford Food Bank, 2 Pickett District Rd, New Milford, CT 06776

Thinking of you and your family Brenda. I am sorry for your loss. I can't help but remember all the happy memories from years ago when we were all kids. We didn't have a care in the world. Life changes and we lose contact but we are still family and always will be. Sending love and hugs to you.
