Frances Devine Obituary
A resident of Washington Depot since 2017, and formerly of New Fairfield, passed away April 2, 2024, at Danbury Hospital. She was born April 24, 1927, in New Milford, CT, daughter of the late George and Mary (Griffin) Bacon.
Frances was raised in Washington Depot and graduated from Washington High School. She graduated from St Joseph's College in 1949 with a BS as a Dietician. Married Robert Devine and moved to New Fairfield in 1953, where she resided until 2017. Fran loved animals and loved to travel, visiting many National Parks in the US and Canada. She managed school cafeterias in New Milford, the Rodgers Park School in Danbury and New Fairfield.
Frances is survived by her two sons, Stephen Devine and his fiancée, Marian Liebenhaut of Washington Depot, Brian M. Devine and his wife Darlene of CA, two grandchildren, Brian M. of CA and Olivia Ivey (Justin) of AZ.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 9, at 11 a.m. in Washington, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help; burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery in New Fairfield. Lillis Funeral Home of New Milford has care of Frances and her family.

Condolences to the Devine family, Mrs. Devine drove Brian and I to see Led Zepplin at Nassau Coliseum and waited for us to bring us back to New Fairfield. Mrs. Devine also took Brian and I on a multi location ski trip to Colorado!
