Maureen Portella Obituary

Maureen Portella (nee Wolf) born on July 25, 1959 in the Bronx, NY to Anne C. and Henry J. Wolf, leaves behind her beloved husband, Richard A. and her fur babies. She is pre-deceased by her parents and sisters: Carol Scott and Patricia Peragine. In 1965, they moved to Danbury, CT where Maureen attended St. Peter's School and graduated from Danbury High School in 1977. She worked at the Post Office in Kent where she was loved by all. Her positive attitude, infectious smile, and inner beauty were immediately evident to all who met her. She will be laid to rest on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at St. Peter Cemetery in Danbury following a funeral mass of Christian burial at Our Lady of the Lakes in New Milford, CT at 11:00 AM. Donations accepted to defray funeral costs.

Maureen was a classmate of ours at DHS whose path we crossed then, and many times since over the years.
In so doing, she made our journey a bit more pleasant.
She had a warm smile, a beautiful face and a sweet soul.
We are saddened to learn of her passing and will always remember her with fondness.

Maureen was, and always will be, a favorite person in my life. She was happy, uplifting, inspiring and a cheerleader for any task I undertook. She had that effect on all those around her, contagious enthusiasm !! Thanks Maureen for your example of a life well lived. You´re always in my heart !! The tears are for missing you !!
