Susan Andersen Obituary
Susan L. Andersen of New Milford, CT, passed away Saturday April 8, 2017 in Hartford Hospital at the age of 65.
She was born February 1, 1952 in Charleston, SC, daughter of the late Ralph and Rosemary (Murphy) Othouse. In 1969 she graduated Greenwich High School with the love of her life Niel Andersen. They married on June 17, 1972 in St. Mary's Church in Greenwich, CT. They moved to New Milford in 1974. Mrs. Andersen was a clerk at Big Y in New Milford for the past ten years.
Besides her husband Niel of New Milford she is survived by her sons, Eric and his wife Amanda of Clinton, CT, Douglas Andersen of Norfolk, VA, daughters; Jennifer Andersen Longo and her husband Jon of Danbury, CT, Laurie Williams and her husband Patrick of Leesburg, VA, Caroline Fortier and her husband Jesse of New Milford, CT, a brother Allan Othouse of Greenwich, CT, two sisters; Mary Morris of Stamford, CT, Nancy Farrar of Kansas City, MO and her grandchildren Morgan, Connor, Alexander, Lillian, Emilie, Nikolai and Declan.
A funeral service will be held on Friday April 14, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Lillis Funeral Home, 58 Bridge Street, New Milford, CT. Interment will follow in St. Francis Cemetery in New Milford. Calling hours will be Thursday April 13, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Contributions in Mrs. Andersen's name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 38 Richards Ave., Norwalk, CT 06854

Mike and I are so sorry for your loss. Sue used to babysit my kids about 35 years ago. Then she watched my Grandson when she worked at the daycare center at the Church. She was a wonderful woman. Family was always first. She will be missed. RIP Sue.
