William Bonacci Obituary

William J. Bonacci, 52, of Bethel, formerly of Danbury, passed away unexpectedly at Danbury Hospital on June 26, 2006.

William was born in Decollatura, Providence of Catanzaro, Italy, May 28, 1954, son of Enrico and Francesca Bonacci of Bethel, formerly of Danbury. He was a 1972 graduate of Danbury High School and had attended Western Connecticut State University. He had been the owner of the former Uncle Bill's Pizzeria Restaurant of Brookfield prior to his illness.

Besides his parents, he is survived by three sisters: Rachel Cerra of Danbury; Toni Bonacci and husband, Basilio of Danbury and Fortunata Belardinelli and husband, Ned of Bethel; eight nieces and nephews: John Cerra and wife, Michelle, Marc Cerra and wife, Janet, Tania Bonacci, Joseph Bonacci, Alan Brown, Brendan Shaw, Alec Belardinelli and Lauren Belardinelli and two great nieces: Gabrielle Cerra and Hannah Cerra and great nephew, Ethan Cerra.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Church in Bethel. Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St. in Danbury.

Contributions in his memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 306 Industrial Park, Suite 105, Middletown, CT 06457.
