in ST. Margaret's Hospital Spring Valley, IL.
The Burgess Funeral Home in La Salle is assisting the family,

was held at St. Hyacinth's Cemetery.
Full military riteswas conducted by the LaSalle / Oglesby Veterans Memorial Group
There will be no visitation.
He was born June 16th 1927, in Centralia IL.
to Frank and Mary (Weiler) Novak.
He married Florence (Lasik) on Feb. 18th
1949 in St. Hyacinth's Church LaSalle.
Byron served in the U.S. Navy in W.W.II,
SeaBees, Construction Battalion, in the
South Pacific.
He worked at the H.D. Hume Co. Of
Mendota for 48 years.
He was a member of St. Hyacinth's
Church, Catholic War Veteran's and VFW.
He was preceded in death by his wife
Florence, 2 brothers and 1 sister.
Survivors are one son James (Cheryl) Novak
of Michigan; one daughter Mary Jane Novak
of Arizona; four grandsons; 3 step-grandchildren;
8 great-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren.

I have been visiting Barney for the past 5 years at the LaSalle Veterans Home enjoying his company and sharing life experiences and stories. He was a kind man and our world is a better place because of him. My condolences to his son, daughter and their families. He will be missed but is resting at peace now in Heaven and may God welcome him with open arms. God Bless you Byron Novak.
