Curtis Haines Obituary

Curtis Haines, Jr.
Keyser - Curtis McClellan Haines, Jr., 73, of Fort Ashby Road, Keyser, WV, formerly of Westminster, MD, died Saturday, July 3, 2021 at the Moran Manor Nursing and Rehab Center in Westernport, MD.
Born on April 17, 1948 in New Windsor, MD, he was a son of the late Curtis McClellan Haines, Sr. and Reba (Babylon) Haines. He was also preceded in death by a brother, William Babylon and a sister, Dianne Noel.
Mr. Haines was retired as a mechanical engineer and had attended the Baltimore School of Engineering. He was a member of the Lighthouse Apostolic Church in Corriganville, MD. His passion in life was repairing and rebuilding truck and car engines. His talent was so great that it was said "He never met a motor that he couldn't fix."
Surviving are his two sisters, Caroline E. Smith of Hanover, PA and Judy E. Atwater of Westminster and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 from 5-7 p.m.
A graveside service will be conducted at the Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 2800 Old Westminster Pike, Finksburg, MD, on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.
Interment will follow.
