John and I worked together at the Post Office. Pete McLauighlin hired us when we were back in high school to do mail box pickups and special deliveries. Glad to read that the hire led to a career for John. He was a gentleman and a real sweet guy. Condolences to the family. RIP John.

John was a very gentle man who I met while working at the post office. I met him years later in two different care facilities, one in Hamden, and the other in Cheshire and we shared postal remembrances. "Johnny O" was his loving nickname at work, where he was a valuable member of the team, and a friendly, delightful person. My condolences to all who grieve his loss.

John and I worked together for the US Postal Service on Brewery Street. My condolences to John's family and friends in your loss. We had fun, joking as we worked the mail. John never had a bad word for anyone and I never saw him act in anger. He always made the day go by easy. RIP big John.
