Lisa Cohen Obituary
Lisa Renee Cohen, 47 years old, of Trumbull, CT passed away on October 19, 2017, after a courageous three year battle with breast cancer.
Lisa was born in Norwood, MA on October 2, 1970. She is survived by her courageous daughter Alison Marie Knox, mother Mary Gribosky Cohen, father Marvin Stuart Cohen and his wife Joan Hume Cohen, loving sister Donna Laura Backus, devoted brother Michael David Cohen and his wife Eleni Young McConnell, nephew KC, niece Amanda, and grandmother Miriam Cohen.
Lisa graduated from Trumbull High School, and years later received her BA in Human Resources from Albertus Magnus College, where she graduated Magnum Cum Laude. She enjoyed biking, working out at the gym, traveling, and walking. Lisa was also a sports fan and cheered on the Yankees, Giants, and Islanders. Her love for life and animals was evident by the way she surrounded herself with friends and pets.
When Lisa was diagnosed with breast cancer three years ago, she never gave up. She always kept a positive state of mind, and refused to let the cancer slow her down. Lisa was surrounded by her daughter and immediate family when she passed away at Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale New Haven CT.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on November 18, 2017, at 10:00 a.m., at Saint Stephen Church, 6948 Main Street, Trumbull, CT 06611.

Lisa was my closest friend in high school I am so thankful that we were able to re-connect years ago and before she had cancer. I have known very few people, as strong as; who fought with her unwavering will. She was like that in high school too! strong, leader, role model. She was my guardian angel during those difficult high school years and I am soon thankful to have enjoyed a friendship with her as an adult
