Lucia "Lucy" Piccirillo Kelly 91, of New Haven beloved wife of the late Thomas J. Kelly Sr. passed away peacefully at her home on February 3, 2023. Lucy was born in New Brunswick, NJ on November 26, 1931 the 13th child of the late Vincenzo and Rosario Zeno Piccirillo on Thanksgiving Day. She lived the majority of her life in Highland Park and Edison where she married and raised her four children: the Rev. Dr Thomas J. Kelly Jr. with whom she made her home, Thaddeus (Carol) Kelly, Cynthia Ann Markakis and Christy Michelle Kelly. In addition to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she is survived by her brother Vincent (Gail) Piccirillo, sisters-in-law Mildred Piccirillo and Nancy Piccirillo. Sister of the late Peter, Mary, Philomena, Helen, Joseph, Frank, Louis, John and Salvatore Piccirillo and Angie Donnini, Theresa Makosky and Anna Carson.
Family and friends are invited to A Mass of Christian Burial WEDNESDAY morning at St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish in Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 9:00. Entombment will follow in St. Peters Cemetery located in New Brunswick, NJ. THERE WILL BE NO CALLING HOURS. Arrangements are in care of the PORTO FUNERAL HOME 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80) East Haven. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Manor, 261 Benham Street, Hamden, CT. 06514 or the Parish of St. Pio of Pietrelcina 355 Foxon Rd. East Haven, CT 06512.
