Roger Taupier Obituary
Roger V. Taupier, 79, of Orange passed away peacefully on Monday, November 27, 2017 at Yale New Haven Hospital with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 34 years to Susan North Taupier. Roger was born in New Haven on November 27, 1938 and was the son of the late Armand and Rose Yednyak Taupier. He had worked as an Aerospace Engineer for Honeywell the former AVCO/Lycoming/Textron until his retirement. Roger was an avid fisherman, enjoyed hunting, skiing and boating. Father of Roger A. Taupier and Lorri Taupier. Grandfather of Stacy R. Taupier. Brother of Raymond Taupier and Eleanor Michaud. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Thursday morning at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends may call from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 11:30 a.m. Entombment with full military honors will follow in All Saints Mausoleum. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook Street, I-91 Tech Ctr. #3 Rocky Hill, CT.

I would like to add my sincere condolences to Roger's family.
Roger was a respected contributor to our component technology development efforts at Textron Lycoming. In particular he was innovative with respect to the test environment and our need to understand the benefits of our designs. My memory indicates that he is also a recipient of patents dealing with lubrication systems. A worthy achievement among other respected accomplishments.
On a personal note we knew each other well and had a good open communication at work and beyond.
I am sure he will be missed by family.
