Scranton - Stacy Hawkins-Hazelton of Scranton died Saturday at home of a heart attack. She was 53. Born Stacy Schwarz in Clifton, NJ to Raine and Bruce Schwarz, where she lived until 1986. Her son Maxwell was born in 1987. She was a graduate of Pope Pius XII in 1984 and attended Montclair State College afterward. In 1990 she moved to Scranton. There she was actively involved in awareness groups and social justice organizations and dedicated a large part of her career to the Women's Resource Center. In 2009, Her second son Gavin was born and he became her life. Stacy was great at so many things, such as writing, cooking, darts, crafts and being a caring friend. She loved going to the Berkshires and the Jersey Shore. She touched the lives of all she ever met, from former clients to her many friends and of course her family, she will be remembered and deeply missed by all of us forever. Stay gold and Godspeed, Honey. Stacy was predeceased by her beloved grandmother, Lorraine Swanciger in 2011. She is survived by her sons, Maxwell Hawkins and Gavin Hazelton, his father Jeremy Hazelton, her mother Raine Schwarz, sister Dina, brother Michael, daughter in law Nicole, granddaughters Evalia, Maria, and Julia Hawkins, and lifelong best friends Angela Kira and Christine Busch, formerly of Clifton NJ. Arrangements have been made with Solfanelli-Fiorello Funeral Home Inc., 1030 N Main Ave, Scranton and visiting hours Tuesday February 16 from 4 to 6pm.
