Joseph Boone Obituary
BOONE
Joseph Nicholas "Nick" Boone, age 92, died July 30, 2013 at Rosedale Green nursing home. He was preceeded in death by his wife of 66 years, Mary Bender Boone, a son Michael Boone, and grandchildren Todd and Tim Boone. He is survived by Nick (Donna) Boone, Carolyn (Dennis) Huffman, Jeff (Melanie) Boone, Howard Boone, 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Nick was a '37 graduate of Covington Latin School and joined the Navy during World War II stationed in Hawaii. Nick was a longtime resident of Taylor Mill. He ran several autobody shops in the greater cincinnati area, sold real estate, and had a bookkeeping/tax service. Nick was instrumental in the start-up of St. Patrick's Church and the Taylor Mill swim club. Over the years he was involved in many of the Taylor Mill community groups including the Irish Rovers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or St. Patrick's Church. Floral Hills is serving the family. Mass was held at St. Patrick's Church, Monday, 8/5/2013 at 11 a.m.
