Beverly Pleasant was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on August 5, 1941, to Sidney, Sr., and Pola Dufauchard. She attended St. Catherine Elementary School, Andrew J. Bell Junior High School and was a 1959 graduate of George Washington Carver Senior High School. Known as a charismatic lady who made friends everywhere she went, Beverly enjoyed retirement. Beverly is preceded in death by her parents, Sidney, Sr., and Pola Dufauchard; her sister, Gloria Bacchus; her brother, Sidney Dufauchard, Jr.; her sons, Gregory, and Ernest Pleasant; and her son-in-law, Catalino Castillo. Left to cherish her memories are her children, Tyra, Larry, Althea, and stepson Coy Givens; eight grandchildren, Tifiany, Phillip and Beverly Pleasant, Gregory, Jamaul and Nakita Mitchell, Keron and Ketaj Castillo; thirteen great-grandchildren. her sister; Jacqueline Gibson, sister-in-law, Linda Lemon, and a host of other family members and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are all invited to attend her Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, July 31, 2021, 10:00am, at Abundant Life Tabernacle, 1701 Franklin Ave., New Orleans, LA.
