John Chrysosthome Bourgeois

John Chrysosthome Bourgeois, a retired carpenter, died at his home in Harahan, LA. on Wednesday, November 13, 2002. He was 92. Mr. Bourgeois was born in Vacherie, LA. and lived in New Orleans and Harahan for the past 61 years. He was the beloved husband of the late Marie Antoinette Gravois Bourgeois. Father of John B. Bourgeois of Los Angeles, CA., Rosalie B. Tubre of Hammond, LA., Chris Morgan of Baton Rouge, LA., Donald C. Bourgeois, Jenny Scheurer and Sylvia deLaurent of Metairie. Son of the late Genevieve Reulet and Sidney Bourgeois. Brother of Maybelle Falgoust of Vacherie, LA. and the late Angel Webre, Rhett Hymel and O'Neil Bourgeois. Also survived by 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 13281 Hwy. No. 664, Vacherie, LA. (225-265-3953) on Friday, November 15, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
