Joseph White Jr.

1968 - 2022

Sergeant Joseph White Jr. was born on June 23, 1968 in New Orleans. La to Reverend Dr. Joseph White Sr. and Ethel Mae White. The first grandchild to the White Family, Joseph departed this life on December 14th in Gonzales, La. Joseph accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized in 1977 by the late Dr Richard Rayborn Sr where he sang in the Children of Pilgrim Community Choir and he was a staple member of the Jeremiah Baptist Church. Joseph was a 1986 graduate of Lutcher High School where he was a member of the track and field team. Joseph was also a member of an all American boxing team under the late Edward Scott Sr. After completion of High School Joseph enlisted in the United States Army. He served 8 years in the military (Airborne) Infantry from 1986-1994. Throughout his service he excelled in the ranks and had an opportunity to travel the world. After separating from the Army he was employed by the Port of South Louisiana. He was employed at United Rental and later joined forces with Associated Terminal with 18 and ½ years of service. Joseph loved driving luxury fast cars he loved family and traveling. He also never met a stranger. Joseph leaves to cherish his beloved memories to his parents Dr. Joseph White Sr and Ethel White of Convent La. His wife, Jasmin White of Baton Rouge La, one daughter Ashley White (Cedric) of Galvez, seven sons, Jonathan (Mia) White of Prairieville, La, Rhyan Joseph White, of Baton Rouge, Jairyn White, of New Orleans, La, Jaiden White, Justin White and Jkai White of Baton Rouge, La. Eight grandchildren, 2 girls Randy and Cruz, 6 boys Markeith, Mason, Cedric, Jayce, Jagger, and Jaxon. One sister Verna Wiltz (Charlie) Rosharon, Texas. 2 nieces Schuyler Wiltz, Houston Texas, Karisma Wiltz, Baton Rouge, La. One Goddaughter Tanaka Milan and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends. One Mother-in-law Kim Alexander, and he was preceded in death by his grandparents Moses and Bertha White and Melvin and Lillie Davis. One brother Jonathan Daniels White. Aunts Doris Scott and Grace Haymond, Uncles Otis, Prince, Ernest and Melvin Davis Jr. Moses and George White. There will be a void in our hearts. Visiting on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at Jeremiah Baptist Church, Gonzales, LA., from 9:00am until service time 11:00am. Interment in St. James United Methodist Church Cemetery.
