Susie Strange Obituary

STRANGE Susie Mae Collier Strange passed away on July 23, 2011 at the age of 86 years. Beloved wife of the late Curtis Edward Strange. Mother of Ginger Gill, Karen Drone (Joel), Mary Rourke (Ronnie), Lucy Pierce (Edward), the late Brenda Hart and Curtis Perry Strange (Janice). Grandmother of Christopher Guidry, Elizabeth Baron, Brittany Strange and Jarret Chastant. Great-grandmother of Christopher, Christy, Cameron and Chase. Great-great-grandmother of Savannah. Sister of William Clyde Collier. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mary Yates Collier, Willie James Collier as well as several brothers and sisters. A native of Bussey, AR and resident of Gretna, LA for over 50 years, she is a retired beautician who owned and operated Sue's Beauty Land in Algiers and Sue's Beauty Shop in Marrero. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 from 5 PM until 8 PM. Services will be held for 6 PM. Her remains will thence be transferred to A.O. Smith Funeral Home, 288 Pilot Street, Bradley, AR where visitation will resume on Thursday, July 28, 2011 from 8:30 AM until 10:45 AM. Graveside services will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Bradley for 11 AM. Donations in her memory may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 2401 Gen.
