Victoreen Cecila Dixon

Victoreen "Vikki" Cecila Dixon (Burns). Vikki, aged 63, passed away in New Orleans on the evening of September 10th, 2021 - resting after a long-term battle with MAC lung disease. Victoreen was born on an air force base near Denver, Colorado in 1958 and lived a vibrant life as the eldest of five siblings before her family eventually returned to New Orleans. She dedicated her professional life to healthcare after graduating Charity School of Nursing. Vikki was a natural creative, taking to sewing and craft since her teenage years. She loved the outdoors and always kept a garden. She was a gregarious social butterfly, with a quick humor. She was an exuberant dancer. She was an adventurous cook, having learned from her own mother. Vikki was the sort of extrovert that made it impossible for new acquaintances to feel shy. She is survived by her three children, Brandon Sylve, Dominique Dixon and Alana Dixon; her fiancé, Lee Andrews; four siblings, Thaddeus Burns, Kim Burns Thomas, Judy Burns Buckley and Dean Burns. Vikki was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar L. Burns and Lorraine Orticke Burns. A Memorial Service honoring the life and legacy of the late Victoreen " Vikki" Burns Dixon will be held in the Chapel of Charbonnet Labat Glapion Funeral Home, 1615 St. Philip Street, New Orleans, LA 70116 0n on Saturday, Oct. 30th, 2021 at 1 PM.
