Willie Dixon, Jr., 61, of Marrero, LA, passed away on November 24, 2021. in Marrero. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. on Friday December 3, 2021 at Murray Henderson, 1209-11 Teche St. New Orleans, LA 70114. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, December 3, 2021 at Murray Henderson with Reverend Ricky Johnson of Mt. Olive Baptist, Harvey LA officiating. Facial coverings required. Burial will follow at Restlawn Cemetery, Avondale LA. Arrangements are at Murray Henderson. Willie Dixon, Jr. was born in New Orleans, LA to Willie Dixon, Sr. and Marion Johnson Dixon-McAlfred on August 3, 1960. His early education was in The Jefferson Parish Public Schools, Willie graduated from St. Augustine's High School in 1978 and attended Louisiana State University. He married Angela Cates-Dixon in 2014 in Florida. He was employed as an Offshore Rigger for many years at Dynamic Industries Inc. He was a member of Degruy Lodge #7 F&AM, PHA and Platte Temple #15, Prince Hall Shriners. Willie was preceded in death by his first wife Jaqueline Desalle-Dixon, His parents Willie Dixon Sr, Marion J.D McAlfred and Joseph McAlfred. Willie is survived by his wife Angela Cates-Dixon, sons Jeffrey M Williams and Chad McAllister Dixon, sister Donna M. Davis (Brian), Two uncles Bert Johnson (Eula) and Tyrone Johnson (Marie). Willie was a father to Derrick Cates, Dominick Cates, Crystal Brooks, Latiesha Desalle, Jacqueline Desalle and Tia Desalle. Willie had seven grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. Godfather of Shantrice Mone' Givins and Troylynn Williams. Willie is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
