Frances McBride Obituary

Frances M. McBride, age 83, passed away April 25, 2023, at Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital. Fran was born June 29, 1939, in Dubuque, Iowa, to the late William (Gint) and Ann Barrington and moved to Council Bluffs in 1956, graduating from St. Francis High School. She was united in marriage to Bill McBride on January 28, 1961. To this union, sons, Greg, Mike, Tim and Pat were born. Fran is a member of the Catholic faith and is preceded in death by her parents; infant sister, Tonja; sister, Marlene Collins; husband, Bill, in 2019. Fran is survived by her sons and spouses, Greg (Stevie), of Sierra Vista, Ariz., Mike, of Waco, Texas, Tim (Theresa), of Council Bluffs, Pat (Xenia), of Omaha, Neb.; grandchildren, Jordan Castorino (Adam), Collin McBride (Jordyn), Colton McBride, Jake McBride (Falecia); great-grandchildren, Jayce, Lennox, Brooks, Jagger and Jaxxon. Visitation, Sunday, 3 to 5 p.m., at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial, Monday, 10:30 a.m., at St. Patrick's Church. Fran will be laid to rest with husband, Bill, in Cedar Lawn Cemetery, followed by a luncheon at St. Patrick's Church Hall. Memorials will be directed by the family.

I hadn´t seen Fran in a number of years but we had a number of phone visits. She was a beautiful lady inside and out. I will miss my talks with her sharing memories of years ago. Fran was my first cousin. My condolences to all of her family and friends.
