Barry C. Angus Sr. PITTSTOWN - Barry Charles Angus Sr., 74, a longtime resident of Pittstown, died suddenly, Saturday, March 4, 2017, at his Collins Way home, following a short illness. Born in Troy, June 22, 1942, Mr. Angus was the son of the late Howard A. and Anna “Mertie” (Fisher) Angus. He attended Watervliet High School. He was honorably discharged on August 30, 1963. For several years after his “hitch in the service”, he continued to reside in Puerto Rico and later in South Carolina before returning to the Capital District, where, after finding the perfect spot, he built the house that became his home for the rest of his life. For many years he worked as a union construction worker, most recently at the McGrath Industries in Troy, as a member of the Contruction Worker’s Local #452. He retired in 1990. Mr. Angus was a true outdoorsman in every sense of the word. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and hiking the woods and fields to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. He took several big game hunting trips out West with his buddies and loved traveling across the country, but his most favorite pastime was to spend time with his children and visiting with his extended family and friends. Mr. Angus is survived by his children, Freddie-Ann and Ray Vogel of Pittstown, Barry C. and Elizabeth Angus Jr. of Puerto Rico, Jeanette Angus of Puerto Rico, James M. and Madonna Valenti of Texas, John F.
