Celia Kahn Obituary

KAHN
Celia, 86, died of natural causes March 16 in San Francisco, CA. Born June 14, 1926 in Brooklyn, NY, Celia was a first female draftsman in the 40's at the Brooklyn Navy Yard - "NYPE's only marine draftswoman" from newspaper clipping of the day. She was the Renovation Coordinator for Morsan's Sporting Goods in NJ in the 70's and a Modernization Coordinator for Public Housing and realtor in Annapolis in the 80's. Celia spent 25 years in the Brooklyn, NY area, raised a family in Glen Rock, NJ for 25 years, then spent 20 years in Annapolis, and her senior years in Boynton Beach, FL. Celia was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Nathaniel L. Kahn, whom she married in 1948 and who died in 1992. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Levine of Florida, whom she married in 1994; three sons, Howard Kahn of Fairfax Station, VA, Robert Kahn of Fair Lawn, NJ and Russ Kahn of Glyndon; daughter, Carolyn Kahn of San Francisco, CA; sister, Eileen Mazel of New Jersey; six grandchildren, Philip Wilkins, Libby Wilkins, Alex Kahn, Kelsey Kahn, Ariele Kahn, and Mariah Kahn. A funeral service will be held noon, Friday at the Hardesty Funeral Home in Annapolis followed by graveside service 1 PM. At Kneseth Israel Cemetery in Annapolis.
