MacARTHUR
Kenneth A., 55, of Clifton, passed away on June 26, 2015. Born in Glen Ridge, he lived in Arizona and Marlton, but has been a resident of Clifton, most of his life. A parishioner of St. Andrew the Apostle RC Church, Clifton, Kenneth worked for SallieMae for many years and was an avid NY Rangers and NY Mets fan. Beloved son of Joyce (McCarroll) of Clifton, and the late Austin MacArthur. Devoted brother of Richard and his wife Catherine of Millburn, Mark and his wife Shannon of Kingwood, TX, and Patricia Loughlin and her husband Brian of Bridgewater. Loving fiancé of Mary Beth Ramsey. Cherished uncle of Brian Loughlin, Jr., and his wife Lindsay, Kristin Longo and her husband Daniel, Lauren MacArthur, and grandnephews Jack and Rory. Sadly missed by his canine companion "Dylan".
Funeral Tuesday 9 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at St. Andrew the Apostle RC Church. Cremation will be private. Visiting Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the funeral home. If desired, donations made to St. Andrew the Apostle RC Church, 400 Mt. Prospect Ave., Clifton, NJ 07012, in memory of Kenneth, would be greatly appreciated. www.ShookFH.com

Kenny was one of my first childhood friends. We actively covered the turf from School 14 to Oak Ridge Park. Frequently, he made me look like the calm one. He was energetic, enthusiastic and athletic. We played on several baseball teams together. We listened to countless hours of music together. We even officiated a few basketball games together. As Altar Boys, we served many Masses together at St. Andrews in Clifton, NJ. All fond memories.

I saw Ken a little over a year ago and we sent the occasional text message. I know he found a happiness with his fiancée that he had never experienced before. I am saddened by his passing. May those that knew Kenny recall the zeal with which he lived life.

Go Rangers.

so sorry to hear of his passing. my brother, mark, was very good friends with kenny from grammar school straight thru high school. i remember kenny well, always a smile on his face and fun to be around. so sorry for your loss.
