Luigi Valentino Obituary

Luigi "Louis" V. Valentino, 82, of Central Falls, died on February 28, 2014 after several years of illness. Born in Providence, the son of the late Luigi and Rosalie (Mancini) Valentino and brother of the late Julia V. (Valentino) Albanese.

Louis had been a long time resident of both Providence and Pawtucket before residing in Central Falls. He worked for the Wanskuck Mills part time for many years before his retirement.

He is survived by his brother-in-law, Frank Albanese Sr. who will be residing in Debary, FL; two nieces, Claire Albanese of Debary, FL and Holly Albanese of Palm Coast, FL; three nephews, Frank Albanese Jr. of Dayton, OH, Robert Albanese of Wallkill, NY and Kenneth Albanese of Purcellville, VA and 12 great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Saturday 10:30- 11:30 a.m. with a funeral service to follow at 11:30 a.m. in the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. Burial in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

So sorry for your loss! Louie has been my patient for many years and this past year has.been a challenge for him, Louie would always greet me with a smile and a hug and would never complain even on those days when he wasn't feeling so well. Louie was such a kind spirit and I will always fondly remember him.
