Michael Lefanto Obituary

LEFANTO Michael C., 68, of Manchester Twsp. passed away suddenly at home on November 22, 2008. Born in Jersey City, he lived in Paramus before moving to Manchester Twsp. three years ago.As a CPA, Michael was a partner with Chazotte, Lefanto and Company in Paramus. His career spanned over 35 years before retiring five years ago. Michael also early in his career, worked for the IRS and was the Treasurer for State Senator Louis Kosco.He was very active in the CPA Society, where he chaired many different committees; was active in the Italian American Club and the Republican Club both of Paramus. He also served in the United States Army.Michael was predeceased by his son Walter and brother John. Surviving are his loving wife Joan E. Lefanto and his sons Ernest and Michael J; his brother Carmine Lefanto, sisters Rose DeTomaso and Ann Cortellino and five grandchildrenVisiting will be Sunday, 7-9 PM and Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Silverton Memorial Funeral Home, 2482 Church Rd., Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday 9:30 AM at St. Luke's RC Church, Toms River; arrive at the funeral home at 8:30 AM. Cremation Ocean County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation, Inc. 710 West 168th Street, New York, NY 10032, would be appreciated.

Mike was a great guy! Easy to talk to and a good lisener. He contributed his time and knowledge to the business community and to the State society with great outstanding service!

I did no know much about his family, but I m sure he was loved and will be missed.
