Michael Phillips Obituary
Michael "Mike" J. Phillips, 84, of Fair Lawn formerly of the Bronx, NY passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2018. He is survived by his beloved wife Joan of 57 years, daughter Patricia, son William and grandsons Matthew and Jake Phillips. He was predeceased by his son Kevin (1997), parents Edward and Rose and siblings Edward, Ann Bogle, Joseph and Thomas. He is also survived by nieces and a nephew.
A U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War, he served as a Sergeant with the Fair Lawn Police Reserves. Mike retired from General Motors Acceptance Corp and Hartz Mountain Industries.
Family and friends may visit on Friday, February 23, 2018, 3-5 & 7-9 pm at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn, NJ, 201-797-3500, www.vpfairlawn.com. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018, 10:30 am at St. Anne R.C. Church, 15-05 St. Anne Street, Fair Lawn, NJ. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mike to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept 142, Memphis, TN 38148 would be appreciated.
