My deepest sympathy to all of you in your loss of a great lady. She was my neighbor when we were all on Broad St. and whenever I saw her she would always ask about my family. She was a kind & caring lady and I know she's happy now to be with her husband and especially Andrew. May all your memories give you comfort. In sympathy, Zoe Synodi

It was such a pleasure and privilege to know Hilda. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered. Always quick with a smile and a "hi honey" she easily touched many lives.
My deepest sympathy to the entire family at this most difficult time.

I feel priviledged to have known Hilda. She was a very sweet and loving woman. We had many long talks about life, our faith and family. We both had great faith in St. Jude which made us instant friends. She always spoke so beautifully of her son Andrew and her loving husband. She loved to tell me about all her grandchildren, she was so proud of them. Hilda was young at heart. I can't think of a better legacy! God Bless you Hilda.

Hilda was the loveliest women I have ever known. She had a kind, gentle spirt that attracted all who were in contact with her. One day we had found some wild kittens and had them in an animal carrier. They were extremly stressed. When Hilda sat down by them they immediately gravitated to her for comfort. I feel very grateful that I knew her. Barbara Crowley, Property Manager at AHEPA 250-II.

My Dearest Angel Hilda...I know you flew directly to heaven!
You were such an angel to me ...We first met in the St. Jude's Shrine eight years ago when I was so sad about my losing my beloved Mother...You comforted me with such an open heart and with such faith in our Lord....I love you Hilda, my honey bunch...my sweet sweet angel...What a beautiful reunion you'll have with Andrew and Walter!

Aunt Hilda was in her early 20's when I was born and didn't get married until I was 12. So she and Aunt Rose, who also wasn't married had a lot of attention to give me who was the first and only kid in the family for at least 5 years. Aunt Hilda seemed so with it back then. She made me feel so loved. When she was getting married, she let me open all her presents when the delivery man brought them to the door on Richards St. I remember spending overnights with her in her first apartment in Norwich and then enjoying the birth of her babies. I grew up and she got busy mothering her three boys. Who will ever forget how selfless and loving mother she was, especially with Andy. Then we all remember how wonderful and kind a caregiver she was for Aunt Rose, and her husband Wally. Finally, when she was widowed and alone, she still radiated joy...never talking about herself, but interested in me, my kids, the family. The very center of her whole life was her love for the Lord. How appropriate that she experiences the joy of the Resurrection and sees our Lord face to face as we all celebrate Easter. My love to her boys and their families. We all suffer her loss with you. Her loving niece, Barbara
