Michael Francis Fitzgerald

Michael Francis Fitzgerald November 12, 1952 - August 7, 2009 Uncasville - Michael Francis Fitzgerald, age 56, of Uncasville passed away at Backus Hospital in Norwich on August 7, 2009. He was born in New London, CT on Nov-ember 12, 1952 to the late Donald Fitzgerald and Margaret Pavlak. Michael was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. From 1973 to 1980 he worked at Electric Boat as a supervisor of blueprints and tool and dye. He went on to work for Eagle Pitcher from 1980 till 1995 and in 1995 worked in carpentry. His final career and true passion was working with the elderly as a Certified Nurses Aide at Orchard Grove. Michael is survived by a son Donald Ira Fitzgerald of Willimantic, a daughter Laurie Fitzgerald of Central Village, a son Daniel Patrick Fitzgerald and wife Brandy of Putnam, an ex wife of 20 years, Gloria of Florida, and grandchildren Brittany Fitzgerald, Don Fitzgerald Jr., Christian Fitzgerald Coolidge, Michael Patrick Fitzgerald, Sadie Erin Fitzgerald, Julia Elizabeth Fitzgerald, and one on the way. He also leaves behind his siblings Patty Solt, Kathy DeRosier, Jeanne Hallas, Thomas Kevin Fitzgerald, Laurie Pavlak, Tammy Stroud, Debbie Murphy, Jackie Pavlak, and Margaret Napier. Church and Allen Funeral Home, Norwich is assisting the family with arrangements.
