I was so very saddened to hear of Roland's passing. It sounds cliche, but I mean it when I say he was literally one of the nicest people I've ever met. Always with a big smile and such a genuinely sweet guy. Always so proud to talk about his family too. I will never understand why this happens to such good people, but heaven has gained an amazing angel.

Cheryl and family-I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Roland will be missed by so many. A wonderful man that always had a smile on his face and always made my day when he came to my office. Ive known him for many years way back to when I started in the medical field when I worked in Moosup at Plainfield Medical Associates and as I was drawing his blood one day after saying I know you from somewhere, we figured out we knew each other from him being my cousins best friend. May your cherished memories of all the wonderful times you had together help you through your time of sorrow. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family . RIP my friend until we meet again.
Love Maria Leandro Ponciano and family.

We first came to know Roland when his son Craig transferred to our Boy Scout troop. Over the years Roland enjoyed many a camp out with my husband Sam. Roland helped out with two Eagle Scout projects that our sons were undertaking. Craig also attained the rank of Eagle Scout.
Roland had a wide smile and a glint in his eyes. We were lucky to be the recipients of his bear hugs many times. He was always there to help out no matter what was needed.
Roland was so proud of his wife, his son, his soon-to-be daughter-in-law, his daughter, her husband and his three grandchildren.
They say, "Only the good die young". Roland was certainly young and definitely good. He will be missed by his family and his many friends. Rest in peace, Roland

I am shocked and saddened to hear of Roland's passing. He was a genuine "light" and an unselfish man who always stepped up to help people.
Roland often bragged about his wonderful family...his children...the grandchildren...and his wife. His infectious chuckle will be missed.
My sincere condolences to the family. May wonderful memories sustain you through this difficult time of grief. Heaven has certainly gained an angel.
Most sincerely,

My heart aches for Aunt Cheryl; his children and grandchildren. Uncle Roland was always the person that you were looking for in the crowd. He wasnt hard to miss with that huge smile he always had on his face. He gave the best bear hugs! He loved his children and grandchildren very much and was so proud of them! When they werent around he talked about their accomplishments and how proud he was of them. He was so thoughtful that he would never let a year go by without sending me a birthday card. Heaven gained another angel! Rest In Peace! Bear hugs, until we meet again! ❤

This is said news. I remember Roland, Allen, and Charlie well. We used to go swimming at the Wauregan reservoir when we were kids. Back when they lived on Taft street. Always looked up to all three of them. So sorry for your loss. I know he must have been a great father and grandfather. Life is way to short. God bless you all who were close to him.
