Margretta Pomeroy Obituary
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Maddox Funeral Home conducted by Sammy Campbell. Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Pomeroy was born May 30, 1927 in Front Royal, VA, daughter of the late Robert and Grace Stokes Groves. She worked for Compton's Toy Store on Main Street for many years.
Surviving is one son, David "Pete" Pomeroy of Front Royal.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Leroy Pomeroy; one brother, Monroe Groves; one sister, Louise Stec; and one daughter-in-law, Carol Sealock Pomeroy.
She will be truly missed by her family and many friends.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Sealock, Eric Sealock, Maxie Cameron, Bradley Ramey, Ronnie Pomeroy, and Ralph Ramey.
Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Longmire, Miles Shockley, Joe Ramey, Steve Stec, Roger Stec, Jim Parsons, Randy Bailey, and Ritchie Vaught.
