Carol Louise (Johnson) Ballard, 73, of Lakemoor, IL passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at her daughter's home in Omaha, AR. She was born August 11, 1942, in Dundee, IL to Hans Robert Johnson and Irene Marie (Fitzl) Johnson.
She loved watching court TV, reading, and doing crosswords. In her earlier years she enjoyed camping, fishing and knitting. She contributed to several charities including The Salvation Army, St Jude's Children's Hospital, The Humane Society & more.
Survivors include her children, Sharon (Greg) Orbeck of Hebron, IL, Christine (Ken) Parks of Omaha, AR and Thomas Ballard of McHenry, IL; siblings, Harold (Jeanette) Johnson of Woodstock, IL, Elaine Johnson of Lake Geneva, WI, Gordon (Alice) Johnson of Hebron, IL and Linda (Kendall) Lewis of Woodstock, IL; five grandchildren; two step grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; two step great grandchildren and several other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Nancy (Johnson) Mercado; her niece, Laura (Johnson) Melms; and her nephew, Scott Johnson.
Visitation will be held from noon until the time of the Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 30th at Windridge Memorial Park, 7014 S. Rawson Bridge Rd., Cary, IL. A Celebration of Life will follow at Main Street Saloon, 3914 Main St., McHenry, IL.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Madison County Funeral Service of Huntsville, Arkansas. www.madisoncountyfuneralservice.com.

I am so glad you were able to see the Dogwood's bloom! I have faith that you are able to walk and run in Heaven - no longer constricted by your body's weakened lungs. You lived life your way and were loved by many. And even though we were hundreds of miles apart, I am so grateful for our morning coffee sessions and hope you know that I will continue to talk to you and think about you with every cup. Rest in Peace, Mom! You will remain in my heart and mind always!

I am sorry for the loss of such a great women, She waa always nice to me and she was a caring person. She loved always taking about her granddaughter the one who use to always come and heled her out, she will be missed but not forgotten, RIP Carol, To her children and family I am so sorry for your loss, she was a great lady when i was working with her, always nice, and she was so caring, she will be greatly missed.
