James Gnutek Obituary
James Matthew Gnutek (Jimmy) was born in 1943 and raised by Mathew and Angeline Gnutek in Chicago, Illinois. He passed away on Wednesday, May 10th, 2017 at JourneyCare in Arlington Heights, Illinois, at the age of 73.
Jimmy loved eating sweets, especially chocolate, watching history shows, singing karaoke, and filling rooms with love and laughter. In his earlier years, the United States Army taught him how to drive a tank before he even knew how to drive a car. Alongside his former wife, Penny, he raised two daughters, Laura (William), and Valerie (Nicholas), along with two sons, James and Mark. With another former wife, Sue, he raised Angel (Jason).
Jimmy is survived by his loving wife, M. Pam Gnutek; and his sisters, Antoinette Glass (late Bill) and Carol Koscienlniak (Roy); and his late brother, Bob Gnutek. In Jim and Pam's nearly 25 years of marriage, Jim became a father to Michelle (Julio) and Melissa (Michael); a grandfather to 17 grandchildren and to four great-grandchildren.
The couple proudly owned the Rockin Horse Ranch and traveled to several countries while Jim worked as a superintendent for multiple road-paving companies. James Gnutek was a funny, intelligent, and hardworking man and friend to all.
The memorial service will be held at 80 Prairie Park Drive, Wheeling Illinois 60090 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on May 15th 2017.
