Steven E. Stanger, age 64, of Woodstock, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2015 at his home in Woodstock. He was born on August 26, 1951 in Woodstock to Elmer and Ruby (Carlson) Stanger.
Steven worked in construction and was a member of the Fox Valley Laborers Union Local 1035. He was a member of the Woodstock Moose Lodge. He could fix anything and was a jack of all trades. He also enjoyed cooking. He lived life to the fullest and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed his dog, Emma.
He is survived by his son, Troy E. Stanger; and his brother, Terry (Kathy) Stanger.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at Schneider Leucht Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, 1211 N. Seminary Ave, in Woodstock. Burial will be at McHenry County Memorial Park Cemetery in Woodstock.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to any charity of the donor's choice.
