Suzanne Martha Thompson passed away February 12, 2024. Born in Chicago on December 23, 1960, and lived most of her life in McHenry, IL. Devoted daughter of Joan Davis, beloved sister of Kristin Sherman (John), proud and loving mother to daughters Anna Grose and Sara Perona (Matt), grandmother to Jude and Eleanor Perona. Best friend to Kim O'Connor (Brian) and lifelong friend to former spouse Jeff Thompson. Preceded in death by her father Anthony Davis, brother Anthony Jon, son Lee Allen Grose, and beloved friend Ted Schalk.
Suzanne was a wonderful free spirit who loved music, nature, and her family. Her zest for life and infectious humor touched the lives of all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed by all. As we reflect on her life, we are reminded of the impact one person can have on so many, simply by being their authentic self. Suzanne was indeed such a person, and her light will never fade.
A Life Celebration visitation will be held for Suzanne on Monday, February 19, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Justen Funeral Home, 3700 W. Charles J. Miller Rd, McHenry, IL. A funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, February 20, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Apostles Catholic Church, 5211 Bull Valley Rd, McHenry, IL.

Ray and I just learned from Pam about Suzanne. We are shocked and saddened, and so, so sorry for your loss. We are traveling until March 2nd so will be unable to attend the service.
