My heart goes out to you Becca and everyone who knew Big Al. I feel blessed to have so many memories of him and his stories. As many have already expressed, I think we all can agree our favorite memories are when he spoke about his daughter, the light of his life. Al had a big heart and a big smile and I will miss hearing about his cooking. I am one of the few who got to taste his ravioli lasagna! My deepest condolences.

Becca, is what your dad called you. He loved you more than life itself. My prayers are with you. Your father was my partner and my friend. He showed me what being a Gray Police Officer meant. He will be missed.

Dear Rebecca,
We are sending our sincere condolence on the passing of" BiG Al. Just remember that he will always be looking down from heaven to guild you as he always has in the past. The beautiful memories that all of us have of Al is that he was honest, spoke his mind and very loyal to the members of the Gary Police Department. He loved him "some Becky" and made sure that everyone knew that you were his shining star.
During his career, he was a part of our extended family as a SON to us.We loved Big Al and will always have stories to tell about the "teddy bear" of the D.A.R.E program.
He will surely be missed But NEVER FORGOTTEN. May he rest in peace.
